About
Suyin didn’t just decide on a whim to get into advertising. It was only after an intense yet somewhat heartfelt session with a Magic 8 Ball that she decided to give copywriting a go.
Four years at M&C Saatchi, Sydney and a celebrity kidnapping turned sour forced her to move to NYC, where she did stints at Saatchi & Saatchi, The Barbarian Group & The Brooklyn Brothers.
From there she headed to R/GA where she ran the L'Oreal account and worked on various other accounts including AMP, Beats, VitaminWater, AdCouncil and Google. Most recently Suyin was full-time at J. Walter Thompson working on clients such as Google, Schick, Puma, Macy's and T. Rowe Price.
Currently, she is freelancing cos, well, she likes the way the word 'freelance' sounds when she says it.
Suyin is a huge fan of corn, Siegfried and Roy, ponchos, ceramic dolphins, eye drops, anchovy fish paste, 4mm X 4mm squares of paper, boys and writing in the third person.
When asked about the state of creativity she has been heard to remark, “Ik begrijp niet wat je het over.”
